Ron Menke

Ron started Kissimmee Professional Dive Center in Florida USA in November of 1985 in a strip mall on Vine Street. In December 1991 he bought the property where they are now and opened the new store . Ron has been diving since 1964 and moved to Florida in 1972 where he joined the Orange County Fire Department. In 1974 Ron became involved with the fire department rescue team. By 1978 he was put in charge of the water Rescue/Recovery Team and went on to become Instructor. By 1981 Ron took over the entire Orange County Water Rescue Team and developed a team recognized in the state as being one of the best trained in Florida. He now does classes for Orange and Osceola County as well as the City of Orlando.

Ron holds the following qualifications –

• NAUI Course Director
• NACD Cave instructor
• YMCA Instructor Trainer
• SSI Instructor
• ASHI First Aid and CPR
• Blood Borne Pathogen
• DAN Oxygen provider instructor

Ron is factory trained in most regulators and equipment and is a Master Technician for Scubapro, Aqua Lung and Apex Equipment.

Ron and his wife Janice do most of the long distance trips for Kissimmee Professional Dive Center and are Certified Travel Experts in most of the Caribbean and a lot of the Pacific.

You can see from Ron’s work history that he has vast experience as an instructor in many areas. You’re only going to become an SCUBA Instructor once, so why not be mentored by one of the best in the field.
